Where the first Murmur held its symbols close and tangled, this one lets them drift free white shapes hang suspended like fruit, pendant, or bulb, scattered across a violetblack expanse marked with faint scratched houses and half-legible script. Drips run heavy down the canvas, dark and deliberate, while faint circular halos glow around a few of the pale forms, catching light the way stars catch dark. Lines cross and cross again, less a script now than a map of something once known, then forgotten. Monochromatic Murmur II opens up what its companion piece kept compressed same hushed palette, same sense of half-heard meaning, but here the pieces have room to float, drip, and settle at their own pace. It reads less like speech and more like residue: the after-image of a murmur, still glowing faintly once the sound has gone quiet.
